Bala Ambika Homa is dedicated to the worship of the goddess Bala Tripura Sundari. Bala Tripura Sundari is a form of the goddess Shakti, who is revered as the supreme female energy and the embodiment of cosmic power.

The Bala Homa is performed to seek the blessings of the goddess, as ashram devotee Sri Ramakrishna’s completion of laksha akshara bala mantra japa within 4 months. As per scriptures such anusthana is done to attain mantra siddhi( perfection in the mantra)

Sri Ramakrishna was initiated in Sri Vidya from Swami Bhrahmaatmananda.The Homma was performed by 6 other sri vidya initiated upasaks and sri Ramkrishna himself.The ahuti padartha were ten thousand lotuses, palacha samit, Tippli dravya , white sesame and peppercorn. Together they offered sixty thousand times ahuti, one tenth of the total japa done. One tenth of the ahuti count six thousand tarpans were offered. One tenth of the tarpana count of six hundred marjana was offered and one tenth of marjana sixty kanya bhojana was arranged.

At the successful completion of the Homma all Ashram devotees prayed to goddess Bala Tripura Sundari for good health, wealth, prosperity, and spiritual well-being.
