SHREE KARPAGA VINAYAKAR

The ashram’s northeast entry is graced by the temple of Shree Karpaga Vinayakar(Ganesha). Lord Vinayaga is the Lord of wisdom, As Vinayagar satisfies the wishes of his devotees like Karpagam tree, he is also known “Karpaga Vinayagar”. The ashram Idol of Lord Vinayaga appears with 2 hands, inhis right hand he is holding an Atma Linga of lord Shiva and left hand in Kattihastam, ready to do his Pooja. His trunk is bent towards his right with flapping large ears ready to listen to all his devotees’ prayers. Also, he is seated with his legs folded and stomach not touching the Asanam in the form of “Artha Padma” Asanam facing north ready to bless all with clarity of thought and material prosperity. 

The temple architecture is an Ekakuta style, copper clad Vimana Gopuram atop the main Garba Gruha which opens out to the  Mantapam that serves as the main Yogashala, where various Homas are performed with Vinayaka’s auspicious presence.  

The temple has two daily rituals at 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
