ANTAHKARANA GNANA NILAYAM
Antahkarana means the four functions of the mind namely Manas, Chitta, Ahamkara and Buddhi. Steadfastly observing the mind can help in establishing (nilayam) truth or mastery of the eternal knowledge (Gnana).
Antahkarana started in Bengaluru in early 2000’s as humble centre for a few 100 meditators and yoga practitioners who became devotees of Amba. They came together to build the ashram in Tiruvanamalai at the foothills of Arunachaleshwara known as Antahkarana Gnana Nilayam in 2018.
It enshrines a Dhyana Mandira of Bhagawan Nityananada of Ganeshpuri, temple of radiant Pranava Lingeshwara Swami and Sri Chakra. At the entry we are greeted by Karpaga Vinayaga whose temple quadrant houses the ashram’s Yagashala. The southwest corner of the Ashram compound there is a temple of Shree Varada Laxmi Narashimha Swami whose quadrangle houses the 12 Alvars. And at the southeast is flagged by shrine of Shree Guru Guha Swami and 18 Siddha’s. The ashram also has a Gaushala, which tends to many indigenous species of Indian cows. With their blessings the Ashram continues to be a doorway for many who are seeking Saṃpradāyik teaching to attain Sadhana Chatushtaya Sampati.
